Have you been playing with Copilot and noticed that sometimes we hit copilot.cloud.microsoft, and other times we hit m365.cloud.microsoft? They are both “copilot” but are just different endpoints.
It depends on your pinning settings on which experience you’ll see.
If you do not have the Copilot app pinned on the left hand navigation, then when hitting office.com/chat or copilot.cloud.microsoft, you’ll stay on copilot.cloud.microsoft.
If you do have the copilot app pinned to the left then when hitting office.com/chat you’ll stay there. And if you try to hit copilot.cloud.microsoft you’ll get redirected to m365.cloud.microsoft.
Pinned
When hitting CCM (copilot.cloud.microsoft) we’ll get redirected to m365.cloud.microsoft
Also you can stay on office.com/chat you wont be redirected.
Unpinned
You’ll now stay on CCM
Hitting m365.cloud.microsoft will redirect you to CCM. The URL will look like this:
Notice the internalredirect=m365cloud? That means you were redirected from m365.cloud.microsoft..
The same is try if you hit office.com/chat, but this time the internalredirect shows we came from office
Its important to note that if you have M365 Copilot then the app is pinned by default and you should be using m365.cloud.microsoft and office.com for your copilot enjoyment.
